FROM GORKHA TO A SHARED TABLE
Nepalese Foodie

My voice, my experiences, my way of telling a story

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Nepalese Foodie is my personal journal. The views, opinions and reflections shared here are my own, shaped by my experiences of food, people, places and hospitality.

Some stories include my own photographs. Others feature images shared with permission by restaurants, producers or the people behind a project. Where appropriate, I credit those contributions.

I also use AI to create illustrations. Sometimes a photograph captures what I saw, but an illustration helps me express what I felt. It can give shape to a memory, an atmosphere or an idea that I cannot easily communicate through an existing picture.

For me, this is a creative choice. I welcome technology as another way to tell a story, while keeping my own judgement, intention and emotion at its heart. Using AI to help create an image does not make the experience or perspective behind my writing any less personal.

I will clearly identify AI-generated illustrations so readers can distinguish them from photographs. They should not be taken as documentary images of a real dish, restaurant, person or event.

Whatever tools I use, I remain responsible for what I publish. My aim is to share honestly, express myself thoughtfully and help you connect with the story.

Stories with a source

The opening articles were prepared with AI assistance from my supplied writing and conversations. Recovered original writing, new reflections and remembered experiences are kept distinct. An experience date does not replace the date a new article was written. Older accounts do not describe the current condition of a restaurant or its menu.

Commercial connections belong close to the relevant story. Corrections and concerns are welcome through Nepalese Foodie on Instagram or Facebook.
