ROOTED IN NEPAL. OPEN TO THE WORLD.
Nepalese Foodie

A PERSONAL JOURNAL BY PREM DEVKOTA

A world of food.
A lifetime of
connections.

From a farming family in Gorkha to kitchens and tables beyond Nepal. Stories of food, friendship and the art of making people feel welcome.

THE THREAD THAT CONNECTS IT ALL

“Nepalese” is where my story begins.
The world is where it keeps growing.

Food · Culture · People · Hospitality

NOTES FROM A LIFE IN FOOD

At my table

Some memories revisited.
Some new beginnings. All part of the journey.

THE PLACES THAT SHAPED ME

A journey, still unfolding.

Different places. Different perspectives.
One continuing curiosity.

A PASSION WITH A HISTORY

The journal
comes home.

Nepalese Foodie began in 2016. Finding my earlier writing and this photograph of the old website brought that first chapter back into view.

Now I’m bringing together the writing that survives, the memories I revisit and the stories I want to tell next.

BEYOND THE PLATE

A meal can introduce a cuisine.
A friendship can open a world.

Indian, Japanese, Korean, Turkish, Nepali and beyond. This journal has room for the cultures and people I connect with through food, travel and the hospitality industry.
